    • Screenshots don’t lie. Well. Unless, I suppose, there were some sort of software ‘program’ out there for altering images, to make it seem as if you had your very own Shop for manipulating Photos.

      But that’s crazy talk!

      The official Apple PR statement:

“Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.”

So basically, don’t hold it in your left hand without a rubber case on it (look where the ball of your thumb goes when holding a phone), or you won’t be able to make or receive calls on your phone. Um, yeah, OK. Nice.

I’ve had phones that don’t get good signal when I hold them the wrong way. I figure it’s really the tone of the response that’s bad about this thing, more than the actual design flaw itself.
